Camp Manitou.

We went to camp Manitou and we got in to groups and my buddy was Chris, that means that you have to stay with him the whole day. the first thing we did was making bannock and was fun but mine was burned so I couldn't really eat it. the second one was drama we had to act out stuff but it was fun because we had names that started with the first letter of our name. the third one was alien invasion it was about a baby but it was actually a water balloon and we lost in the first round. the fourth one was the parachute games and it was raining and we played cat and mouse and the cat has to catch the mouse under the parachute and I was the cat once and it was raining hard and I got so wet that my pant and sweater was dripping. the last one was archery and it was so fun but I didn't get a bull's-eye only Chris got one and Draven got one too. Chris got a wood tick on him and I thought it bit him but it didn't but we took it of him and he didn't get bit.

Term three reflection

In math we learned algebra, geometry, area and perimeter of squares, circles, and rectangles we also did pi and Pythagorean theorem we did lots of math tests but most of them were really easy. In novel study we finished the book the Ask and the Answer it was really exciting because we would only read two or three chapters but the book was to long. Now we have to do a big project for the book, and I'm doing a movie poster . We learned a lot in science about earthquakes and volcanoes and we made structures that can handle an earthquake but Ram,Joyce and I didn't win because ours collapsed. We did a structure one that we could only use tape and paper and if you wanted more tape or paper you would have to pay with money, the goal was to make it hold as much science text book as it can and the lowest money and Ram and I WON!!. In social studies we did our own islands and ram and I did a superman island and we could do a power point or a booklet but ram and I did a PowerPoint. We are doing poetry we already did four poems the first one was a limericks Poem, and then a haiku poem and the third and the forth poem was the concrete poem and a feeling poem. In French we are making are own french restaurant with food menus my restaurant is called The Flippin Burger we even have to make up prices. We went on some field trips we went to vertical adventures it is for rock climbing it was really really fun there but after your hands start to hurt and get red. There were people that came from the peace building place and we learned a lot about emotions and others things and at the end we ate pizza with all of them.

Novel Study

 

Knife of Never Letting go

 

I really liked this book it was really cool and fun to read I liked the action in the book. My favourite part was when they found a cave place where the water fall was. My favourite character was

Manchee he sounded really stupid but he was actually smart. I liked the ending it kept me waiting and thinking what would happen next in book two. The character that I most hate is AARON he was really annoying he just wouldnt die he just wanted to make him self look ugly.

Term Two Reflection.

In Math we usually do mental math in the morning we at least do 5 questions a day and we cant write down anything to make it easier we only can use our head. Our recent math is Fractions we learned to add, subtract mixed and improper fractions.

In English Language Arts mostly everday we do lit circles and novel study my groups book in lit circles is "Powerless" its about a kid named daniel that doesn't have super powers and all the other kids do and our novel study book is "The knife of never letting go." In reading buddies we always read books and we help them do there other work there teaching give them.We did our own bucket lists and we had to do it up to one hundred and i finished mine.

In Social Studies we did an amazing race game for Ms.Whites and our class we did activities around the school and it was really fun. We did lots of work about Africa and after that we just recently 
drew African clothes and now we are making African masks.
In Science we made our crystal rocks but some of them didnt work except for the sugar one and we did a rock cycle.
In French we did the 12 days of christmas and it took forever but i finished mine right away but my colouring was pretty much a scribble.
In Band we are playing really hard songs they are called Mythos and Tempest.
In P.E we did basketball season and now we are doing badminton season at first it was kind boring but now its really fun because im always partnered up with Ram.

Goals My first goal is to do talk more in groups. My second goal is to be able to edit my work after really good so my teacher doesnt have to. My third goal is to really be good at math.
